Kalin Stoykov
Personal Injury Lawyer
Kal Staykov is known for his trauma-informed, client-centred approach to personal injury law. He understands the emotional and psychological weight that often accompanies serious injuries and sexual abuse claims, and he is intentional about creating a process that feels respectful, steady, and supportive at every stage. His goal is to help clients feel heard while pursuing the compensation and accountability they deserve.
Kal represents individuals who have suffered serious personal injuries, including those arising from motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, and other forms of negligence. He has experience in both jury and non-jury trials and brings a confident, strategic courtroom presence.
Before shifting his focus to plaintiffs, Kal began his career in insurance defence litigation for Ontario’s largest insurer. He gained first-hand insight into how insurers assess, manage, and defend claims. He earned a B.A. in Political Science with a double minor in Economics and Philosophy from Queen’s University (2006), followed by a Canadian law degree from the University of Windsor and an American law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2010.
Outside of his practice, Kal enjoys time with his family, travelling, and continually working on his golf swing.
