With more than 25 years devoted to personal injury and insurance disputes, David Lavoie is a steady advocate people turn to when injured or denied benefits upend their lives. A senior lawyer at the firm, he has guided numerous trials, mediations, and complex negotiations. He’s also worked as a mediator to help other counsel at the firm resolve challenging cases.

David aims to resolve matters efficiently and fairly. When that isn’t possible, he’s ready to advance his clients’ cases to trial.

A graduate of the University of British Columbia, David was called to the BC Bar in 1993 and is a member of the Alberta Bar, as well. He represents injured individuals and those treated unfairly by insurers, applying practical insight from his earlier work on the insurer side. This allows him to understand how claims are assessed, how risks are weighed, and how defences are assembled.

Aside from his legal work, David spends time with his family and rescue dog, Leo, and enjoys music, travel, and meticulous home renovations.
