Daniel Bassili draws on a decade of insurer-side experience to pursue fair compensation for survivors of sexual abuse, individuals with serious injuries, and people facing denied long-term disability benefits. After graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2012, he was called to the Ontario bar in 2013 and spent the first ten years of his career at a prominent downtown Toronto insurance defence firm.
In that role, Daniel defended complex negligence claims brought against large corporations, public school boards, the Government of Ontario, and in professional negligence actions. That background now gives him a detailed understanding of how insurers and institutional defendants approach litigation. He applies this insight on behalf of injured people and their families.
Daniel is bilingual, with French as a heritage language, and has successfully represented clients in both English and French. He has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario. Away from his files, he enjoys spending time by the water.
