Anna Karlen launched her practice in Vancouver in 2008, training at one of the country’s most respected law firms before spending over 16 years as defence counsel for a major insurer. She has handled complex personal injury matters before all levels of court in B.C. That depth of local courtroom experience now informs her plaintiff-side work at Preszler Injury Lawyers, where she serves as a trial lawyer handling complex claims with a focus on sexual assault.
Anna’s files often involve catastrophic injuries, including traumatic brain injuries, paralysis, and psychiatric injuries. She is comfortable guiding a case from first intake through to trial. She is licensed to practice in British Columbia and Ontario, and draws on her defence background to anticipate strategy and pressure points throughout litigation.
She speaks German and Swiss-German and has conversational knowledge of French. Away from work, Anna enjoys hiking and cooking with her family.
